SUBJECT:   Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Implementation Update

The four radar display units are order and should arrive the first week of September.  District staff has reviewed the Community Survey on Traffic and Safety Issues in Del Monte Forest survey that identify the “Top 10” Speed Streets in the Forest.  Also, District staff met with the Pebble Beach Company for input on the best location of the radar display units.  The District and Pebble Beach Company anticipate the construction of 10 to 15 permanent radar display unit roadside ground level steel pole holders that will allow the four radar display units to be used at a number of locations.  The steel pole holders are inexpensive and can be relocated as necessary.

 

A meeting is scheduled for August 24 with the California Highway Patrol to discuss supplemental traffic patrol in the Forest.  The General Manager will update the Board verbally on the meeting results.
