1. Third Priority Fire Protection Water Pipeline Replacement Project

Monterey Peninsula Engineers completed construction of the new water main located near Monterey Peninsula Country Club for the Third Priority Fire Protection Water Pipeline Replacement Project.  Installation of the remaining site water lines will be coordinated with the MPCC construction project and field work is scheduled for completion before the end of June.

2.  Fourth Priority Fire Protection Water Pipeline Replacement Project

E2 Consulting Engineers performed analysis of the hydraulic computer model for the Pebble Beach water distribution system to identify the highest priority water main lines for inclusion in the Fourth Priority Fire Protection Water Pipeline Replacement Project.  Results of the engineering study have not yet been confirmed due to a delay in fire hydrant testing which cannot begin until completion of the California American Water project to rehabilitate the five million gallon water storage tank located near Forest Lake.  Fire hydrant testing should be performed in May and the preliminary engineering recommendations can be reviewed at the next Board meeting prior to proceeding with the design of the pipeline improvements.  E2 Consulting Engineers has earned $19,594 or 39 % of the budget of $49,760 for preliminary design engineering services.

3.  2006 Sewer Line Replacement Project

E2 Consulting Engineers continued work on the preparation of construction documents for the 2006 Sewer Line Replacement Project, which will be ready for bidding in May.  E2 has earned $7,565 or 8 % of the budget of $89,540 for design and construction support engineering services.

4. Pump Station SCADA System Improvement Project

Tesco Controls began installation of instrumentation hardware and software programming required to integrate the Forest Lake Reservoir site, the 2.5 million gallon recycled water storage tank, the Viscaino backup potable water pump station and pump station P-8 with the District SCADA system.  The system should be fully operational by the end of May.
