The Pebble Beach Community Services District has a continuing capital improvement program to improve and rehabilitate the infrastructure of the Pebble Beach wastewater collection system.  As part of this program, the Sewer Line Replacement Project is set to begin construction in January 2009.

The Sewer Line Replacement Project will replace various sewer lines throughout Pebble Beach using a pipe bursting technology.  Pipe bursting is a trenchless method of replacing buried pipelines without the requirement to dig conventional trenches.  The benefits of pipe bursting include minimizing the disruption to roadways and reducing the construction time required to complete the necessary work compared to traditional open-cut trenching methods.

New pipeline segments will be installed in the following areas:

  • Easement between Seventeen Mile Drive and Sloat Road
  • Forest Lodge Road between Majella Road and Congress Road
  • Easement between Congress Road and Raccoon Trail
  • Easement northwest of Pelican Drive
  • Easement between Seventeen Mile Drive and The Old Drive
  • Easement between Seventeen Mile Drive and Coral Drive
  • Pebble Beach Golf Course between Seventeen Mile Drive and Palmero Way (#2 Fairway)
  • Cypress Drive between Alva Lane and Seventeen Mile Drive
  • Easement between Stevenson Drive and Hermitage Road
  • Easement south of Mission Road and Sawmill Gulch

The construction contract has been awarded to D’Arcy & Harty Construction, Inc. to perform the scheduled sewer line improvements.  Construction is expected to be completed by May 2009.

Should your residence be connected to a sewer line scheduled to be replaced, your service line will be reconnected to the new sewer line as the work progresses; and, D’Arcy & Harty will contact you prior to performing this work.

We look forward to having a successfully completed project; and, thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during construction.

Should you have any questions about the Sewer Line Replacement Project, feel free to contact me at (831) 647-5605 or at cbaca@pbcsd.org.

Sincerely,
