BOARD OF DIRECTORS FIRE PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS FIELD TRIP

September 26, 2005 at 9:00 A.M.

The Board of Directors of the Pebble Beach Community Services District will assemble at the District Administrative Office on Monday, September 26, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. and thereafter participate with District staff in a fire protection and emergency response preparedness field trip within the District.

PURPOSE OF FIELD TRIP:

The purpose of the Board's field trip is to gain information about the condition of the Del Monte Forest with regard to fire protection and related emergency preparedness requirements. No actions will be discussed, considered or taken by the Board. Visitors are welcome. On a first-come-first serve basis, limited space will be available in fire department vehicles for visitors who wish to accompany the Board. Visitors may also participate in the field trip if they provide their own transportation. Following the field trip, a social lunch will be available at the Poppy Hills Restaurant for those who may be interested in participating. The itinerary of the field trip will be as follows:

  1. Huckleberry Hill fuel breaks, fire roads and planned equestrian center site (Scenic Drive overlook, Haul Road, and possible fire roads 5, 6 and/or 7)

  3. Vacant lot fire hazard clearance: examples of unique conditions justifying exercise of discretion by fire department

  1. Pescadero Canyon fire roads 21, 22 and 23
